My Story
Born in Alabama, Betsy baked her first cake at age eight and planned her first menu at nine. As soon as her father tasted the aforementioned birthday cake and said, “Thank God for Betsy!” she knew good food and gracious hospitality were the keys to unlocking happiness and creating unity between people.

Nothing is as gratifying for her as seeing someone's eyes light up and hearing their almost inaudible moan when tasting her food.​

From 1999-2020 The Saucy Redhead provided private chef, catering and baking services in Los Angeles. Living in Austin since August 2020, Betsy is currently baking, cooking, and entertaining her way into the hearts of folks in her new city and loving this latest phase of her career, which focuses primarily on comfortably elegant events for philanthropic organizations, while still serving the community at large as a private chef and special occasion baker.
In the spring of 2023, Betsy added bestselling author
to her resume, with the release of Sulit Press' multi-author book,
"Show Your Work: Successful Women Share the Bumpy Roads
to Their Biggest Wins."
